CHE 0-0 EVE (5')
As expected, Chelsea are dominating Everton in the first 15 minutes. Noni Madueke had an effort kept out by Pickford, after a chance for Levi Colwill created by Palmer's ball.
Everton are not out of the game though, and try a counter attack while the Blues just about keep out.
CHE 0-0 EVE (15')
Chelsea FC are still dominating possession (63%), and Pedro Neto and Noni Madueke are going forward with venom. No goals so far, though, with the Toffees just about holding on.
xG Stats (courtesy of Guardian): Chelsea (0.08) vs Everton (0.00)
Everton do get a rare break, with Beto brekaing forward and finding Iliman Ndiaye, but Chalobah clars before Nathan Patterson can find a cross.
CHE 0-0 EVE (25')
Just as the Toffees were looking to frustrate Chelsea in the first half, Nicolas Jackson gives the home side a much-deserved lead. Trevoh Chalobah disposses Beto and puts in a fantastic counter attack, finding Enzo Fernandes. The midfielder played it quickly to Nicolas Jackson, who is swarmed by two defenders. The Senegalese turns and shoots from outside the box, finding the bottom corner. No chance for Pickford.
CHE 1-0 EVE (27')
Maresca's side are smelling an opportunity to ramp up the pressure before half-time. Noni Madueke puts in a good cross and O'Brien just about manages to keep it out. The home side are looking to double their lead before the break, and Everton's attack looks toothless at the moment.
CHE 1-0 EVE (35')
After a coming together in the penalty box between Robert Sanchez and Mykolenko, both players are down, and finally get back up after three minutes of treatment. They embrace, and it's all fine at Stamford Bridge.

Meanwhile, Everton are having a terrific spell in the seoncd half, somehow having more shots than the home side. Stamford Bridge is getting a nervy at the moment, with Mykolenko finding a lot of freedom down the left.
Madueke has a good effort in between, and Pickford does well to get down and keep his team in the game in hopes of getting the equaliser.
CHE 1-0 EVE (76')
Well, Everton survive a scare and a half. After intense pressure on the Chelsea half from the visitors, the Blues find some footing themselves, and go forward with Cucurella taking a powerful shot outside the box. Pickford does well to keep it out, but Jackson knocks in the rebound. The Senegalese is well offside though, and the flag goes up immediately.
CHE 1-0 EVE (85')
Dwight McNeil had the best chance for Everton so far, hitting a volley. Robert Sanchez did well to get down towards the bottom corner and keep it out, and then holds on to the resulting corner as well.
Meanwhile, the fourth-official adds on four minutes to the game.
CHE 1-0 EVE (90')
Despite intense pressure from Everton in the added four minutes, the Toffees can't find any opening and fail to get the equaliser. The referee blows his whistle, and the home side secure a narrow, hard-fought win.
With this win, Chelsea are now up to fourth place, over Nottingham Forest due to a better goal difference. Meanwhile, Everton are down at 13th place.
CHE 1-0 EVE (FT)
The Magpies will have Eddie Howe in their corner again, with the manager returning from a bout of pneumonia and will look to shore up his defence after a 4-1 loss against Aston Villa in the last game.
Kick off in a few minutes.
West Ham United, who could only manage a 1-1 draw against Southampton last week, will look to end their six-game winless run against Brighton tonight.
Four fixtures have kicked-off in EPL 2024-25's Saturday Goal Rush:
Newcastle United 0-0 Ipswich Town
Brighton 0-0 West Ham
Southampton 0-0 Fulham
Wolves 0-0 Leicester City
An early chance for Liam Delap. Dan Burn is lax in possession, and his pass in the box is short and is cut off by Delap, who takes a chance at goal, but his strike is JUST deflected wide. Ipswich get another shot in from the corner kick, but it's blocked off.
NEW 0-0 IPS (4')
Newcastle have had a sedated start in the opening 10 minutes. They have tried to put in crosses from the wide areas, with Tino Livramento and Fabian Schar both trying to find men in the box, but the Tractor defence are holding on well.
NEW 0-0 IPS (10')
West Ham's poor form continues, and they go behind at the Amex despite their strong start to the match, with Yasin Ayari getting a goal of the season contender. The Swede takes on the ball from the edge of the box and tries to curl towards the top right corner, and his shot is inch-perfect, giving Areola absolutely no chance.
BHA 1-0 WHU (13')
After Willian almost gives Fulham an early lead with a shot cutting inside, it's the bottom side which go forward against the run of play. Ryan Manning floats in a terrific ball from a set-piece routine, and Jack Stephens -- getting ahead of his marker -- gets a good touch to put it goalbound.
SOU 1-0 FUL (14')
Enciso gets a free-kick in a good place, but he fails to make the most of the opportunity, and Newcastle almost find a man in the box with a Jacob Murphy cross but it leads to nothing. It's a scrappy game so far, with no clear cut chances for either team.
NEW 0-0 IPS (19')
What a lucky escape for Ipswich! The ball bounces in the penalty box, and Alex Palmer falis to catch it and it bounces off Guimaraes' body and into the goal. The referee blows for a foul, and VAR upholds the decision. The Brazilian wags his finger at the decision.
Replays show that Guimaraes had the slightest of touches on Palmer, and it looked like the goalkeeper ran into the midfielder rather than the other way round. Poor decision from the refereeing team, this.
NEW 0-0 IPS (23')
Mohammed Kudus goes down in the box, and the Hammers players give a faint shout for penalty. The referee plays on, and VAR agrees.
Ben Johnson, running at full speend, falls down right at the edge of the box after an outstretched leg from Dan Burn. The referee blows his whistle, but to book the Ipswich player for simulation.
NEW 0-0 IPS (31')
Wolves are on track to continue their five-game winning run, and get the breakthrough from Matheus Cunha. Rayan Ait-Nouri ran down the win and crossed it towards the box, and Cunha has the easiest of taip ins from close range.

BHA 1-0 WHU (32')
The best chance of the game so far for Newcastle, as Isak gets his first look in at goal. Murphy puts in another accurate cross, and it floats towards Isak's head, but his shot is wide.
NEW 0-0 OPS (34')
Ben Johnson makes his team's task so much more careful. Already booked for simulation, he puts in a silly challenge on Alex Isak, holding the forward back with both arms around, the referee has no choice but to show him the second yellow card, and Ipswich are down to 10 men.
NEW 0-0 IPS (37')
Jack Clarke OUT
Guimaraes splits open the Ipswich defence with a low cross across the face of goal, and both Isak and Willock fail to get at the end of it.
NEW 0-0 IPS (41')
Afte a bit of ping-pong in the box, Guimaraes tries a bicycle kick -- which looked to be goal bound, but Luke Woolfenden clears it off the line, being at the right place at the right time.
NEW 0-0 IPS (43')
What a strike from Sandro Tonali! The midfielder catches the ball sweetly outside the box, but sees it crash against the top bar and sees it come back. The Magpies can't put back in the rebound either.
NEW 0-0 IPS (45')
Julio Enciso gets the slightest of touches on Jacob Murphy, who falls on the ground. VAR calls for an on-field review, and referee Michael Salisbury reverses his decision and a penalty is given.
The Magpies finally get the lead, which has been coming for a long time. The penalty kick is cool as you like it, with the striker goes low towards the goalkeeper's left. Alex Palmer guesses correctly, but can't get his hand on the strike.
NEW 1-0 IPS (45+5')
It's half time in the four EPL 2024-25 games, and this is how the scorelines look like at the break:

BHA 1-1 WHU (48')
Harvey Barnes shows incredible first touch to bring down a lobbed pass from Sandro Tonali and hits it between two defenders, but it flows just above the bar. A good chance for the in-form player, and he would feel like he should have done better.
NEW 1-0 IPS (48')
After a horrible miss inside the penalty box, Jorgen Strand Larsen makes amends with a terrific finish past Hermansen after receiving the ball from Cunha's fantastic through ball. It looks like a sixth win on the trot for Wolves at the moment.
WOL 2-0 LEI (56')
After a one-two with Jacob Murphy down the right wing, Kieran Trippier floats in a fantastic cross in the box, and both Dan Burn and Guimaraes attack the delivery. The centre-back ends up rising above Palmer and heading it home, doubling Newcastle's advantage.
NEW 2-0 IPS (56')
Jacob Murphy gets acres of space in front of the box, and tries to curl one in towards the right corner, but it goes just wide. The Magpies are smelling blood at the moment.
NEW 2-0 IPS (63')
Jacob Murphy, Joe Willock OUT

SOU 1-1 FUL (72')
George hirst, Conor Chaplin IN
Liam Delap, Julio Enciso OUT
Jamie Vardy, who will leave Leicester at the end of the season, earns a lifeline for his team when he is brought down in the box by Jos eSa, and the referee points to the spot. Vardy takes the ball himself, but he goes for power over placement, and it's an easy save at the end for Sa, who waited and waited until the last moment.
WOL 2-0 LEI (72')
Callum Wilson, William Osula IN
Alexander Isak, Harvey Barned OUT
West Ham come back from behind to take a late lead, with Tomas Soucek finding the net. Jarrod Bowen gets another assist to his name, putting in a cross inside the box, and Soucek dives in to send it past Verbruggen.
BHA 1-2 WHU (83')
A curling ball in from Trippier, and the substitute jumps thte highest over O'Shea to meet the ball and gives Palmer no chance with a bullet header. This is Osula's first league goal -- on his Premier League debut -- for the Magpies, and what a goal it is.
NEW 3-0 IPS (80')
Fabian Schar OUT
Brighton leave it late to bring the tie to level again, with Gomez finding Gruda, who cuts it back for Kaoru Mitoma, and the substitute makes no mistake with his close-range header going past Areola.
BHA 2-2 WHU (89')
Woilves triple their advantage after a fantastic conter attacking move, and Matheus Cunha holds off the challenge from Coady and puts it across for Rodrigo Gomes to finish it past Hermansen.

Two goals in three minutes, and Brighton have surely snatched it!! West Ham try to clear the ball but finds Carlos Baleba way outside the goal.
