Kerala Blasters relied on a 52nd-minute goal from Kwame Peprah to defeat Mumbai City FC 1-0 in the last game of Indian Super League 2024-25's matchweek 25, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi on Friday (March 7). The Tuskers' victory in their last home game prolonged the Islanders' wait for a playoffs spot. Mumbai City need just a point to qualify for the playoffs as they are tied on 33 points with the sixth-placed Odisha FC. However, the Juggernauts have finished their league run whereas Mumbai City FC still have a match in hand, against Bengaluru FC on March 11. As for the Blasters, they will end the season with an away game against Hyderabad FC on March 12.
