Meanwhile, Leicester City are in 19th place with 18 points (four wins, six draws), and a loss tonight will confirm their relegation from the Premier League.
The players, and the managers, are all out on the pitch. Kick-off is imminent. Stay tuned for live updates.
The referee blows his whistle, and we are underway at the King Power Stadium!
LEI 0-0 LIV (0')
What a glorious chance for Liverpool! After a fantastic play down the right side, Luis Diaz plays an accurate first time ball to Salah, who shoots towards the bottom corner and hits BOTH posts, but the ball somehow stays away from the goalline.
The Egyptian thought that he was offside, but replays show that Wilfred Ndidi actually played him on.
LEI 0-0 LIV (3')
Oooh, so close. Both teams have now hit the post in the opening 10 minutes, and this time it's the hosts in the form of Wildred Ndidi. Stephy Mavidi does well to go past Bradley and crosses it to Ndidi, who catches the ball sweetly but sees it hit the post and come back. So unlucky.
LEI 0-0 LIV (10')
Another effort by Mohamed Salah, and this time it's kept off the line by Wout Faes after some terrific goalkeeper from Hermansen. End to end stuff, here.
LEI 0-0 LIV (11')
After a breathtaking start to the game, the tempo has slowed down significantly as Liverpool has grown more and more into the match. Leicester are not getting any more look in at Alisson's goal, and the Reds are passing the ball around without much difficulty.
The half-filled King Power Stadium is trying to get behind their time, but it's hard at the moment.
LEI 0-0 LIV (23')
Not bad for a couple of substitutes, eh?
Ndidi has conceded a foul in a dangerous place -- around 30 yards from goal.
The game has slowed down significantly at the moment. Liverpool can relax as their title is pretty much gift-wrapped at the moment. But, to remind you, Leicester are literally fighting for their top-flight status, and anything but a win won't do them much good.
Szoboszlai's free-kick is straight at Hermansen, meanwhile.
LEI 0-0 LIV (28')
Cody Gakpo gets his first look at the Leicester goal, and it was a decent effort from the forward. It's Diaz who created the threat, though, lobbing the ball towards the forward who tried to head it back towards the goal, but Hermansen had it covered.
LEI 0-0 LIV (38')
Another decent chance for Mohamed Salah. Tsimikas did well down the left side, and his cross is accurate. It finds Salah, but the height is a bit akward for the Egyptian, and he opts to shoot with his left foot but the ball flies up and away. Maybe a diving header would have been a better choice?
LEI 0-0 LIV (42')
Just one minute of added time indicated by the fourth official.
The referee blows the whistle, and it's half time. The players go into tunnel with the match still nil-nil. Most of the clear-cut chances have fallen to the visitors, but the Foxes had a few decent moments, hitting the post through Ndidi.
LEI 0-0 LIV (HT)
The second half is underway at the King Power Stadium. Can Liverpool get a goal in the second 45 minutes?
LEI 0-0 LIV (45')
A half-chance for Dominik Szoboszlai, as the Hungarian gets the ball from the left side and tries to curl one in towards the bottom corner from 25 yars., but
Mads Hermansen does well to get down and keep it out, and Conor Coady shows his experience by hoofing the ball away from the danger area.
LEI 0-0 LIV (49')
Good movement from Liverpool down the right side, as Bradley puts in a good cross into the box and it finds Luis Diaz, but the Colombian blazes it over the bar.
Liverpool are coming again and again, and it seems like a matter of time before the Leicester defence crumbles.
LEI 0-0 LIV (55')
Salah gets another chance, as he finds himself in the box after a one-two with Luis Diaz. The Egyptian, surrounded by five defenders, shoots while off-balance, but it goes wide.
LEI 0-0 LIV (60')
Change for Liverpool FC:
Diogo Jota IN
Cody Gakpo OUT
Changes for Leicester City:
Facundo Bounanotte, Patson Daka IN
Bobby Reid, Jamie Vardy OUT
Conor Coady thinks he gave Leicester the most unlikeliest of leads from a fantastic free-kick routine, but referee blows the whistle by Daka on Alisson. The Zambian gave the slightest of nudges on the Liverpool keeper before Coady headed in to an empty net, but it's enough to get the goal overrulled.
LEI 0-0 LIV (67')
It had to be him! Trent Alexander-Arnold caps off his 350th Premier League appearance with a goal, giving his team the lead with less than 15 minutes to play.
Tsimikas put in the corner, and there is a scramble in the box involving both Salah and Jota hitting the woodwork, but the ball falls to the full-back on the left edge of the box, and his shot is weet and goes past Hermansen.
Trent, who can very well be a Real Madrid player next season, celebrates by taking off his Liverpool shirt. Oooh.
Leicester are adamant tha there was a foul in the buildup, but replays show none.
LEI 0-1 LIV (76')
With their hopes of a comeback diminishing, Leicester City bring in their 15-year-old wunderkind Jeremy Monga. Fifteen years old, and playing Premier League football, albeit not for much longer.
Interestingly, he is apparently a summer transfer target for Liverpool.
LEI 0-0 LIV (86')
An interesting stat: 350 Premier League games, and this is Trent Alexander-Arnold's FIRST goal from his left foot. Crazy.
Seven minutes added on by the fourth official, most likely due to Liverpool's long celebration.
Change for Liverpool FC:
Curtis Jones IN
Luis Diaz OUT
Alexis Mac Allister in the Premier League Player of the Match for tonight's game.
The referee blows the whistle, and it's all over at the King Power Stadium! Leicester's relegation is confirmed, and Liverpool will have to wait just one more week to become the English champions.
Trent Alexander-Arnold will be the hero in what might be his final season for the Reds. Arne Slot will be a happy man tonight, though.
