Milan fell behind in Monday's contest at Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris, where Vitinha put Genoa into a 61st-minute lead.

Milan have taken 19 points from losing positions in Serie A this term, more than any other team in the competition, and Conceicao believes that shows a unified approach.

"We always try to improve. We work on individual and group levels. We work a lot," he said.

"The players responded well, which shows we have a group that believes in what we do at [the training ground]. I'm pleased with that.

"I think today was a demonstration that we have a strong and united group, where those who came on during the game gave us something extra."

Conceicao also gave the players credit for their comeback, telling DAZN (as reported by Football Italia): "They pay me to work and read the game. Sometimes us coaches can give a little bit more, sometimes we can't.

"This is a demonstration of the skill of the players, not of the skill of the coach."
