The 2024-25 Turkish Cup is into its 63rd season, and will get underway with the group stage including some of the top teams in Turkey. The likes of Besiktas, Galatasaray, Fenerbahce will be in action as they look to claim the numero uno status in Turkish Cup folklore. (More Football News)
The competition's format has been changed as compared to the previous seasons, wherein 24 teams will play in group stages and the best ones will advance to the final round.
The first round of the Turkish Cup already begun from September 2024 and now the Group Stage gets underway from January 7-9 being matchday 1 dates. The group draw was held on December 20, 2024.
Matchday 2 will be held from February 4-6 2025 and will conclude with Matchday 3 on February 25-27 2025.
The quarter-finals will be held between April 1-3 2025 with the semi-finals scheduled to be held on April 22-23 or 24 of this year.
The final of the tournament will be held on May 14, 2025. The winner of this tournament earns a spot in the 2025-26 Europa League play-off round and the 2025 Turkish Super Cup.
Teams have been divided into groups of four - Group A, Group B, Group C, and Group D
Besiktas are the defending champions of the Turkish Cup, after winning a the tournament in the previous edition.
Group A - Alanyaspor, Caykur Rizespor, Fatih Karagumruk, İskenderunspor AS., MKE Ankaragucu and Trabzonspor
Group B - Erzurumspor FK, Fenerbahce, Gaziantep FK, Goztepe, İstanbulspor, Kasımpasa.
Group C - Istanbul Basaksehir, Boluspor, Çorum FK, Eyüpspor, Galatasaray, Konyaspor.
Group D - Antalyaspor, Beşiktaş, Bodrum FK, Kırklarelispor, Kocaelispor, Sivasspor.
The Turkish Cup 2024-25 tournament won't be available for broadcast on any channel or streaming platform across India.
