UEFA Champions League: Bayern Munich Beat Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 At Home
Bayern Munich enhanced their chances of finishing in the top eight of the league phase with a narrow victory over Paris Saint-Germain, who have yet to win a Champions League match since September. Defender Kim Min-jae scored the only goal of the game seven minutes before halftime, heading the ball in from close range after PSG goalkeeper Matvey Safonov failed to handle Joshua Kimmich's inswinging corner. Ousmane Dembele, already on a yellow card for arguing with referee Istvan Kovacs in the first half, was sent off in the second half for a second bookable offense when he caught Alphonso Davies with a late challenge. It was a well-deserved victory for Vincent Kompany's side, who dominated possession at Allianz Arena and seem to be regaining their momentum in the competition after suffering back-to-back defeats to Aston Villa and Barcelona.
