ICC Cricket World Cup 2023: Pakistan Files Complaint With ICC Over 'Inappropriate Conduct Targeted' At Its Team During India Tie

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has filed an official complaint with the International Cricket Council (ICC) regarding 'inapppropriate behaviour' targeted at its team during the India versus Pakistan tie in Ahmedabad on October 14, 2023, it said on its official X handle. Though the PCB has not stated the the exact nature of the incident but it surely was unhappy with the proceeding during the iconic clash. The Pakistan Board will also lodge a 'formal protest' over the delays in visas for the Pakistan journalists who were lined up to cover the marquee event.

"The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has lodged another formal protest with the ICC over delays in visas for Pakistani journalists and the absence of a visa policy for Pakistan fans for the ongoing World Cup 2023," the Pakistan Cricket Board posted from it's official 'X' handle.

"The PCB has also filed a complaint regarding inappropriate conduct targeted at the Pakistan squad during the India vs Pakistan match held on 14 October 2023."

Talking about their team, most of their players were down with viral fever after their arrival in Bengaluru. While some players have recovered, there are some who are still under medical observation.

"Some players got fever in the past few days and most of them have fully recovered from it. Those who are in the stage of recovery remain under the team medical panel's observation," PCB's media manager Ahsan Iftikhar Nagi told PTI on Tuesday.

He also confirmed that skipper and batting mainstay Babar Azam and pace spearhead Shaheen Shah Afridi were doing fine.
