NBA: Edwards' Heroics Lift Timberwolves to 3-1 Series Lead
Anthony Edwards put on a stunning performance, scoring 43 points on 12-for-23 shooting, as the Minnesota Timberwolves mounted a thrilling late-game rally to secure a 116-113 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 4 of their Western Conference quarterfinals series on Sunday. Edwards also grabbed nine rebounds and dished out six assists, leading his team to a 3-1 series lead. Despite 27 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists from LeBron James, and a strong performance from Rui Hachimura (23 points), the Lakers couldn't hold on in the fourth quarter, where they were outscored 32-19. After a clutch 3-pointer by Dorian Finney-Smith gave the Lakers a brief 113-111 lead, the Timberwolves responded with a three-point play by Jaden McDaniels, followed by a critical video review that awarded Edwards two free throws. He made no mistake, sealing the game and the lead with 10.7 seconds left.
