New Chandigarh: Punjab Kings' players celebrate after winning an Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 cricket match against Chennai Super Kings, in New Chandigarh.
Punjab Kings secured an 18-run victory over Chennai Super Kings in a thrilling Indian Premier League match. The win was fueled by a blistering century from young opener Priyanshu Arya, who smashed 103 runs off just 42 balls, hitting seven fours and nine sixes. Arya's explosive knock set the tone for PBKS' imposing total of 219/6. Shashank Singh also chipped in with a quick-fire 52 not out off 36 balls. In response, Chennai Super Kings came close but ultimately fell short, finishing at 201/5. Devon Conway retired hurt after scoring 69 off 49 balls, while Shivam Dube (36) and Rachin Ravindra (42) also made significant contributions. A late cameo from MS Dhoni, who scored 27 off 12 balls, added excitement to the contest, but it was too little, too late for CSK.
