Rajasthan Royals' players celebrate after winning the Indian Premier League cricket match against Punjab Kings at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Cricket Stadium in Mohali.
Rajasthan Royals secured a convincing victory against Punjab Kings, winning by 50 runs in an Indian Premier League match held in Chandigarh on Saturday. Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal played a pivotal role, scoring a brilliant half-century of 67 runs off 45 balls. Contributing to the total were skipper Sanju Samson with 38 runs off 26 balls and Riyan Parag, who remained unbeaten with 43 runs. This performance helped Rajasthan Royals post a formidable total of 205 for 4 after being invited to bat by PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer. In reply, Punjab Kings struggled early, losing four quick wickets and finding themselves in a precarious position at 4 for 43. However, Nehal Wadhera (62) and Glenn Maxwell (30) stabilised the innings with an 88-run partnership for the fifth wicket. Unfortunately for PBKS, their dismissals in quick succession dashed their hopes, and they ended their innings at 155 for 9 after 20 overs.
