Qatar Grand Prix: George Russell Takes Pole As Max Verstappen Receives Grid Penalty
George Russell will start Sunday's Qatar Grand Prix from pole position after Max Verstappen was handed a one-place grid penalty for impeding the Mercedes driver during qualifying. Verstappen, who had initially set the fastest lap, was penalized for driving unnecessarily slowly ahead of Russell, forcing him onto the gravel as he attempted to avoid a collision. The stewards deemed the penalty less severe due to Russell라이브 바카라 clear visibility of Verstappen and the fact neither driver was on a push lap. In addition to the grid penalty, Verstappen received one penalty point on his FIA super licence, taking him halfway to the 12-point threshold that could result in a one-race ban. This penalty boosts Russell라이브 바카라 chances of securing back-to-back victories after his win in Las Vegas.
