Thailand Grand Prix: Marquez Brothers Impress Everyone As Ducati Riders Dominate Podium - In Pics
BK8 Gresini Racing rider Alex Marquez had an impressive start to the MotoGP World Championship, finishing second behind his brother, Marc Marquez, at the season-opening Grand Prix of Thailand at the Chang International Circuit. Marquez showed strong pace throughout the weekend, qualifying in P2 and finishing second in both the Sprint race on Saturday and the feature race on Sunday. He led the race until lap 23, when Marc took the lead; Alex held off pressure from Francesco Bagnaia to secure his position. In the race, Johann Zarco finished seventh for Castrol Honda LCR, while Brad Binder and Enea Bastianini took eighth and ninth places, respectively. Miguel Oliveira placed 14th in his debut for Prima Pramac Yamaha, and Maverick Vinales finished 16th in his first race with Red Bull KTM Tech 3. Local hero Somkiat Chantra ended up 18th in his debut.
