The autoplay feature allows the players to keep on placing bets automatically without having to input anything manually to do so. It is not allowed in the Holland and their are strict regulations regarding the same. The authorities believe this feature leads to gaming addiction.
The KSA was prompted to action recently when they got to know that the autoplay feature was being used at an unnamed venue which had not yet removed the feature from the roulette table. Authorities sent a letter to the gambling facility to remove the feature and to ensure that it never happens again. The facility will be inspected fully before being allowed to operate again.
The prompt action by the Dutch authorities comes after report suggested that match-fixing was on a rise in the country. A KSA report had earlier revealed 13 reports of potential match-fixing in the Netherlands in 2024 – almost double than that of the year prior.
