Anil Kapoor's Mother Nirmal Kapoor Passes Away; Boney Kapoor Says, 'She Lived A full, Joyful Life'

Producer Boney Kapoor and actors Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor's mother Nirmal Kapoor breathed her last on Friday, May 2, in Mumbai. As per reports, she died after battling age-related issues. She was 90.

CEO and Executive Director of Kokilaben Ambani Hospital, Dr Santosh Shetty said Nirmal Kapoor "passed away peacefully at the hospital around 5.25 pm today."

Boney Kapoor's statement after his mother's death

Boney shared a statement after the demise of his mother. The statement read: “Passed away peacefully on the 2nd of May, 2025, surrounded by her beloved family. She lived a full and joyful life, leaving behind four devoted children, loving daughters-in-law, a caring son-in-law, eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a lifetime of treasured memories."

It added, “Her generous spirit and boundless love touched all who knew her. She will remain in our hearts–forever cherished, and forever missed. Boney, Anil, Reena, Sanjay, Sunita, Sandeep, Maheep, Mohit, Akshay, Sonam, Arjun, Rhea, Harshvarrdhan, Anshula, Janhvi, Shanaya, Khushi, Jahaan, Antara, Anand, Aashita, Karan Thea, Vayu, Ayra, Yuvaan." 

Anshula Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Shikhar Paharia, Shanaya Kapoor, and Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor were spotted at the Kapoor's residence. Javed Akhtar, Rajkumar Santoshi, Rani Mukerji, Padmini Kolhapure, Jackie Shroff, Anupam Kher, Farah Khan, and Neelam Kothari, among others also visited the Kapoor's residence to pay their last respects.

A video has surfaced on social media where an emotional Anil Kapoor can be seen with Arjun Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor inside an ambulance carrying Nirmal Kapoor라이브 바카라 mortal remains.

Nirmal Kapoor was married to well-known producer, Surinder Kapoor. They had four children- Boney, Anil, Sanjay and Reena Kapoor Marwah.

Her funeral will take place today at Pawan Hans Crematorium at 11:30 am.
