A bevy of Indian celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Kiara Advani, Diljit Dosanjh, walked the 2025 Met Gala carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. They not only displayed extravagant sartorial choices, but also gave nods to this year's theme, 'Superfine: Tailoring Black Style', with their "tailored" looks.

Indian stars and celebs had earlier turned heads on the red carpet of the fashion's biggest event, as celebrities like Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, and Isha Ambani, among others served major beauty moments.

This year too, Met Gala regular Priyanka, Isha, and Natasha Poonawalla made waves at the gala event by taking their spot on the Met carpet.

Shah Rukh Khan's Met Gala debut this year was one of the most anticipated moments, with fans speculating what the King Khan will wear for the biggest night.

The actor sported a tailored black suit, by Sabyasachi who tried to oomph up with a cane and stacked gold jewellery. But looks like, he failed meet the expectations of the fans. He received mixed reactions for his Met Gala look.

One fan wrote, "As a diehard SRK fan, I’m soo disappointed", while another commented, "Disappointed and this is TACKY AF!" One user said, "I was really excited to see srk but now nooo totally disappointed".

Priyanka made a dazzling entry at the Met Gala 2025. She was accompanied by her singer-husband Nick Jonas. They twinned in white outfits for fashion's biggest night, posed together for pics and shared a sweet kiss on the blue carpet.

Our desi girl donned a polka-dotted white Balmain tailoured suit for her fifth Met Gala appearance. She accessorized her look with a huge emerald neckpiece and black gloves. The actress completed the look with a dramatic hat.

Diljit Dosanjh

Diljit's Met Gala look was a blend of Punjabi royalty and a modern vision. He was dressed in a custom Prabal Gurung outfit- a turban, a kurta, and a tehmat. His outfit also featured a long cape that had the map of Punjab with the Gurumukhi alphabet. Diljit accessorised his look with a Kirpan (sword).

He flaunted his Punjabi roots by serving Maharaj look on the global platform. The pop icon wore exquisite jewellery which is reportedly sourced from Maharaja Bhupinder Singh of Patiala's legendary Cartier collection.

Diljit's look has got thumbs up from netizens. Netizens said he “won” the gala event with a proper nod to the theme 'Superfine: Tailoring Black Style'.

Kiara made Met Gala debut her baby bump. She added depth and symbolism in a custom-made outfit by renowned Indian designer Gaurav Gupta. Her ensemble, titled Bravehearts, was more than just a fashion statement. The gown featured an antique gold breastplate with ghungroos and crystals. There were two symbolic forms—Mother Heart and Baby Heart— linked by a golden thread umbilical cord. Though it was a thoughtful look, it reminded them of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's 77th Cannes Film Festival look, and Alia Bhatt's jaw-dropping look at Paris Fashion Week, 2024.

Manish Malhotra

Indian designer Manish Malhotra, made a dashing Met Gala debut. Manish's couture resonated with the event's theme. His attire served the purpose as he wore a tailored white shirt with dramatic cuffs, paired with black trousers. He layered it with a structured waistcoat, and a cape embellished with intricate golden embroidery. The outfit was perfect to celebrate Black dandyism, cultural pride, and identity fluidity.
