Rakesh Roshan Confirms Not Directing Hrithik Roshan Starrer Krrish 4; Siddharth Anand Reportedly Exits The Film

Krrish, Bollywood's successful superhero franchise, has been lauded and loved by Indian audiences. After the previous three blockbusters of the franchise, fans were waiting with bated breath for the fourth instalment of the Hrithik Roshan starrer. Earlier, there were reports that Krrish 4 shoot will start in 2025. But the latest news will disappoint fans.

Last year, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, who directed the three films of Krrish franchise, announced his retirement from direction and also said that he would soon be announcing Krrish 4 but won't be directing it.

There have been speculations about Karan Malhotra directing the fourth installment of the franchise. Now, Rakesh Roshan, in an interview has confirmed that the day has to come to ‘pass the baton.’

Rakesh told Bollywood Hungama, ''So, it라이브 바카라 better I do it when I am in my senses, so that I can overlook the process as well and ascertain whether he라이브 바카라 doing it correctly or not. Tomorrow, if I am not in my senses and I’ll have to pass it on, I will not know what they are making.”

He has no regrets about his decision. “That chance we have to take. Also, there라이브 바카라 no guarantee that if Rakesh Roshan directs Krrish 4, it’ll be a blockbuster. It might be the other way round as well,'' said the filmmaker.

As per reports, War and Pathaan fame director Siddharth Anand was supposed to co-produce Krrish 4 alongside Rakesh Roshan, and Karan Malhotra was on board to direct it.

Now a report in Peeping Moon suggests that Siddharth has stepped away from the film as he is occupied with his home production, King starring Shah Rukh Khan. The filming is said to start in May and will continue through the end of the year which created a timeline clash with Krrish 4.

The portal quoted a source saying, ''Rather than delaying the project further, Siddharth and the Krrish 4 team mutually decided to part ways and focus on their respective projects. This decision is purely a matter of scheduling misalignment and not related to budgetary concerns. All reports doing the rounds regarding the budget are untrue''.

Another report in Bollywood Hungama claimed that the estimated budget of the film makes it challenging for studios to commit. The portal quoted a source saying, "The studios were not confident about Krrish at this budget in the post-Marvel era as it has been more than a decade since the release of Krrish 4."

However, India Today Digital quoted a source saying that the budget of Krrish 4 is not Rs 700 crore. "The astronomical budget figures doing the rounds are completely untrue," the source said.

Krrish franchise started with 2003 film, Koi Mil Gaya, starring Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta in lead roles. In 2006, Krrish was released, that starred Hrithik and Priyanka Chopra. In 2013, Krrish 3 came, which also starred Hrithik and Priyanka. Vivek Oberoi and Kangana Ranaut were also part of the cast.
