On Monday, Yash Raj Films took to its Instagram handle to share Mardaani 3 release date and first look of Rani Mukerji from the film. She is seen wearing a black shirt, blue denims and a pair of black boots, holding a gun and pointing it towards the camera.
''The countdown begins for #Mardaani3! On Holi, good will fight evil as Shivani Shivaji Roy returns to the big screen on February 27, 2026," YRF wrote in the caption.

In 2024, Yash Raj Films shared a poster on social media, and wrote, "The wait is over! #RaniMukerji is back as the fierce Shivani Shivaji Roy in #Mardaani3. In cinemas 2026 (sic)."
Earlier, in a statement, Rani said, “It is always special to wear the police uniform and play a character that has only given me love." She also feels proud to play the character of the feisty cop again in Mardaani 3 as a "tribute to all the unsung, brave, self-sacrificing cops who work tirelessly every single day to keep us safe".
"When we set out to make Mardaani 3, we were hoping that we could find a script that would take the experience of watching a Mardaani franchise film higher. I am really excited about what we have at hand, and I’m only hoping that the audience too feels the same after watching Mardaani 3 in theatres,'' she added.
Rani also called Mardaani 3 "dark, deadly and brutal".
Mardaani 3 is directed by Abhiraj Minawala, and script is written by Aayush Gupta.
