The Lynch-pin Of Surrealist Dystopia

American surrealist filmmaker David Lynch passed away on January 15, at the age of 78. Known for his characteristic storytelling techniques, Lynch's dreamlike cinematic sequences and impeccable sound design have always left a lasting imprint on viewers. He began his career in 1967 with the short film Six Men Getting Sick (Six Times) and in 1977, he made his first feature-length film Eraserhead, which became a cult classic. His body of work spans over five decades, and includes memorable works like The Elephant Man (1980), Dune (1984), Blue Velvet (1986), Mulholland Drive (2001) and the TV series Twin Peaks (1990-91, 2017). His vision and imagination in the world of dystopian cinema will remain irreplaceable.
