As per the current trends shared by Election Canada, Liberals are ahead in 42 electoral districts with 443,270 (52.4%) votes.

Conservatives are leading in 33 electoral districts with 343,351 (39.8%) votes.

According to BBC, the last of the polls in Canada's federal election have now closed in Yukon and the remainder of British Columbia which means across all of Canada right now, vote counting is underway.

Mark Carney, who took over as the Canadian Prime Minister following Justin Trudeau's decision to step down, earlier promised to stand up to US President Donald Trump who has been throwing random tariff threats to the neighboring nation since assuming the office for the second time in January.

While conceding defeat to the Liberal candidate Marke Carney, Poilievre told supporters that he's heard the Canadians around the country suffered housing issues and those who are "afraid to go outside" because of rising crime.

"These stories touched my heart," he said while adding "We will not give up."

"Canada first, Canada always," he concluded while asserting that he would continue to fight for these Canadians and take their stories into parliament.

As Liberals are widely projected for victory, Mark Carney said Canada now finds itself at a "hinge moment" of history.

"Our old relationship of integration with the US is now over," he tells the crowd.

"President Trump is trying to break us so that America can own us, that will never ever happen," Carney says.

"We are over the shock of the American betrayal, we have to take care of each other," Carney adds.

Liberal candidate Mark Carney has officially won the parliament seat in Nepean, according to Elections Canada.

Carney - who has never held elected office before - won 64% of the vote, Conservative Barbara Bal took 33% and the NDP's Shyam Shukla has secured 2%.

As per the latest data from Elections Canada, the Liberal Party stands at 166 ridings and the vote share of 43.2 percent.

The leading opposition - The Conservative Party - has conceded the election but trails closesly behind at 144 seats with a vote share of 41.7 percent.

China said it was open to improving ties with Canada, after Prime Minister Mark Carney won the country's election to lead his Liberal Party to another term in power, AFP reported.

"China is willing to develop China-Canada relations on the basis of mutual respect, equality, and mutual benefit," foreign ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said.

The results in Canada are an extraordinary comeback for the Liberals, who at the start of the year looked headed for an electoral wipeout. Beijing on Tuesday stopped short of congratulating Carney, but said: "China's position on China-Canada relations is consistent and clear."

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday congratulated Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney on his election win, expressing hope the two countries would forge stronger ties under his premiership.

"We are sincerely grateful for Canada's principled leadership in supporting Ukraine... We are confident that our partnership will only grow stronger in our shared pursuit of peace, justice, and security," Zelenskyy said in a post on X.

Emmanuel Macron, the French President, extended his congratulations on Tuesday to Mark Carney, Canada's Prime Minister, following his electoral victory. Macron expressed his belief that the Liberal Party leader represented a robust Canadian leadership.
