Latest numbers for the Canada federal elections showed that the Liberal Party won the election by securing 168 seats out of 343 seats. The Mark Carney-led party secured 49 percent of the total votes.
The Conservative Party came in next with 42 percent of vote share and 144 seats.
Incumbent Prime Minister Mark Carney made several mentions to US President Donald Trump and his ongoing tariff threats. "When I sit down with President Trump, it will be to discuss the future economy and security relationship between two sovereign nations," he said. "It will be our full knowledge that we have many, many other options to build prosperity for all Canadians," Carney added further.
Global leaders extended their best wishes to Carney and his party. Leaders from India, France, Ukraine, UK, etc. shared their wishes.
