The European Union on Wednesday has announced their first 'measures' in an attempt to hit back at US President Donald Trump's tariff demand. The European Commission in its statement reportedly said that they are targeting more than 20 billion euros of US products including soybeans, motorcycles and beauty products.
According to AFP, European Commission added, "These countermeasures can be suspended at any time, should the US agree to a fair and balanced negotiated outcome."
US had previously imposed duties on steel and aluminium before he announced a blanket 10 per cent reciprocal tariffs on 60 countries that they trade with.
