As the ceasefire in Gaza continues, the Palestinian militant group Hamas has handed the three more Israeli hostages.
The hostages have been identified as Or Levy, Eli Sharabi and Ohad Ben Ami. All three Israeli men have been handed over to International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) officials in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza Strip.
In exchange for these three hostages, Israel will release 183 Palestinian prisoners and detainees.
IDF has confirmed that they have received the three hostages and have now taken them back home.
"The returning hostages - Or Levy, Ohad Ben Ami, and Eliyahu Sharabi - crossed the border into Israeli territory. The returning hostages are currently on their way to an initial reception point in southern Israel, where they will be reunited with members of their families," read an official statement from the IDF.
Israel and Hamas agreed and implemented phase one of a ceasefire on January 19, 2025. During the first phase, the Palestinian militant group agreed to release 33 hostages in the first six weeks of ceasefire.
With phase one halfway done, Israel and Hamas are now in negotiations for the second phase of the ceasefire, which aims to bring another pause in the ongoing war on Gaza.
