South Korea라이브 바카라 Democratic Party on Sunday voted former leader Lee Jae-myung as presidential candidate for the upcoming election scheduled on June 3, AP reported.

The Democratic Party - the main opposition party in the country - said that Lee won with nearly 90% of the votes, defeating two other candidates.

Lee is a former governor of Gyeonggi Province, an ex-party leader and a mayor of Seongnam city. He lost the 2022 presidential election to Yoon Suk Yeol by a thin margin - narrowest the country ever recorded.

With the impeachment of President Yoon last year after Yoon declared martial law - which lasted for less than 24 hours - Lee reemerged as a frontrunner in the upcoming election.

Lee라이브 바카라 political views are more liberal than the current government - which incorporates economic equality in the country and a less aggressive approach towards North Korea.

Lee spearheaded the opposition-controlled parliament라이브 바카라 impeachment of Yoon after December 3 martial law imposition - before the Constitutional Court formally dismissed Yoon in early April.

His impeachment has triggered a snap election. The new president will get a full, single five-year term. Lee remains a popular Liberal leader but critics worry that he is a populist but will end up intensifying a domestic division.

38% of respondents chose Lee as their preferred new president in a Gallup Korea poll which was released on Friday. Other candidates received single-digit support ratings. People Power Party - the primary conservative party - will be nominating its candidate next weekend. Four presidential hopefuls competing to win the party ticket won combined 23% of support ratings in the Gallup survey.
