Indian Navy Tests INS Surat In Arabian Sea

The Indian Navy has successfully tested the fourth and final Vishakhapatnam class stealth destroyer built with 75 percent indigenous material in the Arabian Sea.

In the aftermath of the terror attack carried out in Pahalgam, the Indian navy tested its latest guided-missile destroyer, INS Surat in the Arabian Sea on Thursday. The medium range surface-to-air missile system possessing a 70 kilometer interception range was co-developed with Israel. 

According to reports, the move comes after Pakistan scheduled a surface-to-surface air missile testing in the Arabian Sea. INS Surat was commissioned in January this year and is a fourth Visakhapatnam class stealth destroyer. The system was built with 75 percent indigenous content and also possesses state-of-the-art Barak-8 missiles, Brahmos and advanced radar mechanisms. 

The Indian Navy informed the successful testing of the missile system on X. According to details, the MR-SAM air missile defense system specialises in eliminating surface-to-surface air missiles along with other aerial targets.The official statement also mentioned India라이브 바카라 increasing reliance on indigenous material for defense manufacturing. 

“Indian Navy라이브 바카라 latest indigenous missile destroyer INS Surat successfully carried out a precision cooperative engagement of a sea skimming target marking another milestone in strengthening our defense capabilities. Proud moment for Atma Nirbhar Bharat!”, read the statement.

Prior to this, Indian Defense minister Rajnath Singh has promised the nation of a loud and clear response to the Pahalgam attack. He had further assured that the government would not just hunt down those who carried out the attack but also those working behind the scenes. 

The Indian naval ships INS Chennai and INS Kesari had earlier completed the first edition of the AIKEYME exercise on Sunday.
