Despite Pakistan violating the ceasefire understanding with India, no overnight firing or shelling was reported across the Line of Control or International Border. However, due to Sunday's violation, Indian states on the border such as Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Gujarat continue to remain on high alert.
After four days of high tension at the borders, India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire. This ceasefire deal, brokered by the United States, was then broken in a few hours after Pakistan continued its intrusions along the LoC and international borders.
In an emergency briefing, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri stated that Pakistan had violated the ceasefire "understanding" agreed upon earlier in the day.

A few hours after the ceasefire understanding, blackout measures were reimposed in J&K and Punjab after drone sightings and explosion sounds.
Along with J&K and Punjab, blackouts were also imposed in Gujarat, Rajasthan and parts of Haryana.
Kutch, Jamnagar, Santalpur Taluka, Patan, Banaskantha, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Srinagar, Hoshiarpur, Ferozepur, Fazilka, Pathankot, Patiala, Moga, Kapurthala, Amritsar and Muktsar districts were among the many that reimposed blackouts.
Pakistan drones were once again spotted in Srinagar and other parts of Jammu and Kashmir, and Gujarat, bringing alerts of a ceasefire violation.
At 11 PM, the Indian government confirms the ceasefire breach from Pakistan. However, Pakistan denies the violation.
No overnight shelling or firing was reported along the borders - both LoC and the international border.
Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir and Gujarat remain on high alert.
"We have restored the power supply for your convenience, but we are still on red alert. Sirens will sound now, indicating this red alert. Please don't move out of your house; stay indoors and away from windows. We will be informing you when we get the green signal. Please ensure compliance and please don't panic," Amritsar's deputy commissioner told news agency ANI.
