In view of the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam, PM Narendra Modi presided over a CCS meeting where the decision to downplay ties with Pakistan has been taken. The Centre will convene an all-party meeting tomorrow in view of the heinous attack that killed 26 people, mostly tourists, on Tuesday.
The Pahalgam attack took place on Tuesday and has killed at least 26 people, mainly tourists. While an official count from the government is awaited, the deceased include two foreigners (Nepal and UAE) and Indians from Tamil Nadu, Odisha, UP, Karnataka and Jammu and Kashmir.

AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi on Wednesday said that the Pahalgam terror attack was a result of an intelligence failure and urged Modi government to take accountability for the oversight.
"The attack is more dangerous, condemnable and painful than the similar incidents in Uri and Pulwama," he said.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation - India's aviation regulation body - issued an advisory on Wednesday, suggesting airlines to waiver the rescheduling and cancellation fee in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack. The organization also requested that the airlines increase the number of flights to facilitate connectivity to Srinagar as many tourists want to fly back.
