In the wake of the Pahalgam attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has vowed that the 26 victims will get justice. Following his speech in Bihar, PM Modi echoed similar statements in Sunday's episode of Mann ki Baat.
Speaking to Indians, the prime minister stated that the militants and conspirators behind the killing of 26 tourists will be served with the harshest punishment.
"Blood of every Indian is boiling by looking at the pictures of the attack," said Modi in his monthly Mann Ki Baat address, adding that the unity and solidarity of India's 140 crore population is its biggest strength in the "war against terrorism."
"This unity is the basis of our decisive fight against terrorism," he said.
The prime minister further added that the attack was perpetrated by "enemies of the country, the enemies of Jammu and Kashmir."
"Enemies of the country, the enemies of Jammu and Kashmir did not like that. Terrorists and the masterminds of terror want Kashmir to be destroyed again and hence they executed such a big conspiracy," said Modi.
"I once again assure the affected families that they will get justice, and justice will be definitely done. The perpetrators and conspirators of this attack will be served the harshest punishment." He added, "We have to strengthen our resolve to face this challenge before the country. We have to demonstrate a strong willpower as a nation. Today the world is watching that after this terrorist attack the whole country is speaking in one voice," he added.
On April 22, a group of militants opened fire on tourists in Baisaran valley in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam. The attack killed 26 civilians, including one Nepali citizens.
