India and Pakistan are observing a ceasefire along the LoC and the International Border. However, over these four days of escalations and firing, many deaths have been reported.
On the last day of firing between India and Pakistan, several casualties were reported along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir. This list includes a senior Jammu and Kashmir government official, two security officers, an IAF medical assistant and several civilians who were killed due to heavy Pakistani shelling, reported PTI.
Additional District Development Commissioner for Rajouri Raj Kumar Thapa and two of his staff members were seriously injured when an artillery shell hit his official residence in Rajouri town. As they were rushed to the Government Medical College, Thapa succumbed to his injuries.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed his condolences to Thapa's family and visited their home as well.
Officials added that Subedar Major Pawan Kumar, a native of Himachal Pradesh, was killed after a Pakistani artillery shell exploded near his post in the Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch. Furthermore, a BSF sub-inspector Mohammed Imteyaz was killed during cross-border firing in the RS Pura Sector. As per an official statement from the BSF, the late officer was leading a BSF border outpost at the time of firing.
In Rajouri, two civilians - two-year-old Aisha Noor and Mohd Shohib (35) were killed during shelling near an industrial area. In Poonch, 55-year-old Rashida Bi lost her life after a mortar shell hit her house in the Kanghra-Galhutta village in, Mendhar.
45-year-old Zakir Hussain was killed after shelling in the Kheri Keran village of Bantalab on the outskirts of Jammu, officials added.
In Udhampur, a medical assistant sergeant with the Indian Air Force and posted in Jammu & Kashmir라이브 바카라 Udhampur, died during overnight shelling by Pakistan. The deceased was identified as Surendra Kumar Moga, a native from Rajasthan. He is survived by his mother, wife Seema, an 11-year-old daughter and a four-year-old son.
“The news of the martyrdom of Shri Surendra Moga ji, a soldier of the Indian Army, a son of Rajasthan from Jhunjhunu, who attained martyrdom while performing his duty of national security at the Udhampur Air Base, is extremely painful. May Lord Shri Ram grant the noble soul a place at his divine feet and provide the grieving family with the strength to bear this immense sorrow,” Sharma said," said Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma.
