Karnataka Cyber Fraud: Elderly Couple Dies By Suicide After Losing Rupees 50 Lakh

The cybercriminals claimed that the couple라이브 바카라 mobile number and ID proof had been compromised and demanded five lakh rupees as a settlement fee. However, the harassment did not end after the settlement fee, and they extorted more money from them, leading to a total loss estimated to be over Rs 50 lakh.

In a tragic incident, an elderly couple died by suicide in Karnataka's Belagavi district after they were defrauded of Rs 50 lakh by cybercriminals who posed as officials from the Delhi Crime Branch. As per media reports, the couple has been identified as 83-year-old Diyango Najarat and his wife 79-year-old.

According to a rpeort by India Today, the couple reportedly left behind a suicide note where they mentioned their despair and fear after being threatened by fraudsters. The bodies have been sent to Belagavi BIMS Hospital for post-mortem.

It was initially suspected to be a case of murder, However, the investigation's direction changed when police discovered the couple라이브 바카라 suicide note and examined their mobile phone records.

About The Incident

Citing police sources, India Today reported that the scammers contacted the couple via a video call over a false accusation of involvement in a criminal case.

The cybercriminals claimed that the couple라이브 바카라 mobile number and ID proof had been compromised and demanded rupees five lakh as a settlement fee. The couple reportedly paid the amount.

However, the harassment did not end after the settlement fee and they extorted more money from them, leading to a total loss estimated to be over Rs 50 lakh.

As per reports, the couple neither had any children nor any immediate family.
