Who Was Om Prakash, The Ex-DGP Murdered In Bengaluru?

Former Karnataka Director General of Police (DGP) Om Prakash was found dead at his residence on Sunday, in a pool of blood with multiple injuries caused by a sharp weapon, PTI reported.

His son, Kartikesh, alleged that the murder was committed by his mother, Pallavi. According to Kartikesh라이브 바카라 statement, Pallavi and his sister Kriti both suffer from a severe mental illness. The police have detained both.

According to reports, Pallavi and Prakash had an altercation over a property dispute. During the argument which turned violent, she allegedly threw chilli powder at Prakash, blinding him, and proceeded to stab him with a knife.

Kartikesh claimed that his mother was threatening to murder Prakash for over a week, following which Prakash went to live with his sister. “My younger sister Kriti went there and brought him back against his will,” according to the Times of India.

Pallavi allegedly confessed to a close friend, saying that she had “killed the monster,” according to media reports.

"Initial investigation suggests that things might be internal in nature. It seems that some sharp weapon has been used, which caused so much blood loss that it led to death," India Today quoted Bengaluru police chief B Dayanand.

Who Was Om Prakash?

Originally from Champaran, Bihar, Prakash was a 1981 batch Indian Police Service officer, Hindustan Times reported. 

His career began in Harapanahalli as an additional superintendent of police (SP) and rose through ranks to become Karnataka's DGP on March 1, 2015, until his retirement in 2017.

He was also appointed as the ASP in Ballari district and as an SP in Shivamogga, Uttara Kannada and Chikkamagaluru, according to HT.

Additionally, he also held positions in Fire and Emergency Services and Crime Investigation Department.

Prakash was a master라이브 바카라 degree holder in Geology.

The deceased was found at the ground floor of his three-storied house in the high end HSR Layout in Bengaluru.
