The road in front of deceased Lt Vinay Narwal was overrun with relatives, well-wishers and journalists from across India. The 26-year-old from Karnal, Haryana, was among the 26 killed during the horrific terror attack at the popular tourist destination of Pahalgam on April 22.

He and his wife, Himanshi, had travelled from Gurgaon to Pahalgam for their honeymoon; the pair had tied the knot on April 16.

Even as mourners showed up in solidarity with his family, they were in shock—just a week ago, the same people had been here celebrating Narwal라이브 바카라 wedding reception.

At 6 pm, just as the sun was setting, the convoy brought Narwal home. His mother Asha Devi, his sister Shristi and his grandparents came out. A table was placed so the last rituals could be performed. Narwal라이브 바카라 wife Himanshi and his father Rajesh Kumar alighted from the ambulance—both visibly grieving, tears running down their cheeks. There was some worry that the cremation, which has to be done before sunset as per Hinduism, would be delayed.

Narwal라이브 바카라 Navy cadre unit also came in from New Delhi, including three officers who were his course mates. The unit refused to comment, saying they were barred by rules.

The sun had just set, and in the last light of the day, Narwal라이브 바카라 body was carried by the cadre into the crematorium in Karnal. Hundreds of people had gathered from across the city to pay their respects, many of them standing atop rooftops in nearby buildings as the funeral grounds were filled up. Chants of “Pakistan Murdabad,” and chants praising Narwal for his bravery rang loudly through the evening.

Chief Minister of Haryana Nayab Singh Saini was present along with Renu Bala Gupta, the mayor of Karnal. After his comrades gave him a full navy salute, Narwal라이브 바카라 family bid goodbye to their only son; his wife Himanshi saluted as tears streamed down her face.
