School of Health Sciences

The School of Health Sciences provides a comprehensive education in the health sector—the College of Nursing Sciences, the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, the College of Physiotherapy, and the College of Allied Health Sciences are branches of the School of Health Sciences.

College of Nursing Sciences, established in the year 2002, is attached to Sagar Hospital—a multi-speciality hospital within the campus for clinical practicum. School of Basic and Applied Sciences

SBAS is focused on producing world-class graduates capable of handling real-life challenges. It encourages holistic development of students and provides opportunities to choose academic and industry-orientated courses from three different combinations in B.Sc. and M.Sc. biological sciences.

The School of Computer Applications, established in 2016-17 with 3 year BCA program and 2 year MCA program, nurtures fresh talent in the field of Information Technology. From the academic year 2025-26 DSU is introducing two more programs; BSc in Data Science and MSc in Data Science.

School of Art and Humanities

The College of Journalism and Mass Communication (CJMC) hones industry-ready media professionals specialising in print, television, and digital journalism; audio-visual production; advertising and public relations; social media; and digital marketing, along with the option to pursue a PhD in media and communication.

Students explore their strengths over 3 years and carve a career path in the field of communication. Shaping the New Generation of Lawyers

The School of Law is transforming legal education by integrating innovation. With technology becoming more embedded in legal practices, future lawyers need to know how to use digital resources to enhance efficiency and accuracy in their work. DSI established the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre to nurture and promote entrepreneurship in 2009. In 2015 it evolved into an ecosystem for ‘Startups and Innovators’ beyond DSI, supported by NSTEDB, the Department of Science & Technology, GoI—the DERBI Foundation. Fuelling innovators, entrepreneurs, and startups to gather PACE, GALLOP, and EMERGE successfully through our pre-incubation, incubation, and acceleration programs.

Atal Incubation Center & DSU

AIC-DSU Innovation Foundation is an initiative with active support from Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog & GoI. The Sagar Group ventured into healthcare services under the leadership of Dr Chandramma D Sagar in the 1960s, establishing Chandra Nursing Home.
