According to a Cricbuzz report, a highly influential figure in Indian cricket is expected to meet Kohli in the coming days, with the aim of persuading him to extend his red-ball career.

The meeting is likely to take place ahead of the Indian Test squad selection, which is tentatively scheduled for May 23. Alongside the Test team, the India A squad for the upcoming England tour is also expected to be finalised shortly.

The BCCI is also preparing for a press conference to unveil India's new Test captain, with young batter Shubman Gill believed to be a frontrunner.

The Board is reportedly hopeful that the senior figure chosen to engage with Kohli can sway his decision. Similar intervention strategies were used when Rohit Sharma was convinced to give up Test captaincy, indicating the BCCI's active involvement in high-profile career decisions.

Cricbuzz report also suggests that Kohli라이브 바카라 decision may stem from more than just a reluctance to play the England series. Despite his historic passion for Test cricket—often credited with keeping the format relevant during his captaincy—Kohli (36) may now be contemplating a full exit from red-ball cricket.

The BCCI is also keen to understand the personal and professional reasons behind Kohli's reported intent. While his average has dipped from over 50 to 46 in recent years, Kohli remains just 770 runs away from reaching the landmark of 10,000 Test runs—a feat achieved by only a handful of elite cricketers.

Kohli has played 123 Tests for India, scoring 8840 runs and captaining in 68 of them. His record in England, however, remains modest—1096 runs in 17 Tests at an average of 33.21, with only two centuries.

With a challenging series against England on the horizon and a young leadership group likely to take over, Kohli라이브 바카라 experience could prove invaluable. The BCCI is hoping to convince the veteran to continue a little longer—for Indian cricket, and perhaps for one final milestone.
