The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Friday (March 28) rescheduled the Indian Premier League 2025 match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) from April 6 to April 8, owing to Ramanavami festivities in Kolkata. (Schedule | Teams | Points Table)

The match will be played in Kolkata itself and not in Guwahati, as earlier speculated. "The decision follows a request from Kolkata Police to the Cricket Association of Bengal regarding the deployment of personnel across the city owing to festivities. The authorities have recommended that the game be moved to Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 3:30 PM, and the request has been accommodated accordingly," the BCCI said in a media release.

The rest of the IPL 2025 schedule remains unchanged. April 6 will now have only one match, with Sunrisers Hyderabad hosting Gujarat Titans at 7:30 pm as per plan.

Tuesday, April 8 will be a double-header match day, featuring the KKR vs LSG fixture in the afternoon at the Eden Gardens, followed by Punjab Kings hosting Chennai Super Kings in New Chandigarh in the evening, according to the original schedule.
