What Happens To LSG vs RCB Clash?
The suspension of the IPL 2025 will directly affect all the fixtures including LSG vs RCB game, that was scheduled to be held at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on Friday, May 9.
While Lucknow might not seemingly face threat of an immediate attack due to the geographical distance from the borders, the authorities are leaving no room for risks.
With the tournament now suspended, the authorities will look to ensure the safe return of all the players, support staff, umpires and other individuals related to the IPL. Many foreign stars are expected to depart India amidst the war-like situation ensuing between the two countries.
Meanwhile, the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) received an anonymous email on Friday morning, threatening to blow up the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Teams from the bomb disposal squad, dog squad, and Delhi police quickly responded to the bomb threat, but it was later confirmed to be a hoax, an official stated.
"We received a bomb threat via email on the address of DDCA. We immediately forwarded it to Delhi Police. The Delhi Police bomb squad came and inspected the whole venue. Nothing was found," DDCA secretary Ashok Sharma told PTI.
Earlier, a cheerleader shared her distress in Dharamsala after the Punjab Kings vs Delhi Capitals match was called-off. The cheerleader's video went viral on social media, with her saying: “The whole stadium was evacuated in the middle of the game. It was very scary. Everyone was screaming that there were bombs coming. It still is very scary. We want to really leave Dharamsala. I hope IPL people are going to look after us. I don’t know why I’m not crying; maybe I’m still in shock.”
