Priyansh Arya etched his name in the history of the Indian Premier League, when he hit the second fastest IPL ton by an Indian batter and joint-fourth fastest ever. He took just 39 balls to reach the milestone. This is also the fastest IPL century by an uncapped player. (Match Blog | Schedule | Teams | Points Table)

The Delhi-born opening batter made 103 runs off 42 balls before Noor Ahmad dismissed him in the 14th over. He hit seven fours and nine sixes while scoring his maiden IPL ton.

Playing his first IPL season, Arya was picked up by Punjab Kings in the mega auction for INR 3.80 crore after a bidding war with Rajasthan Royals.

In the last season of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, the southpaw was Delhi라이브 바카라 top run-scorer, amassing 222 runs in seven innings at a strike rate of 166.91.

Arya's parents are teachers in a government school in Delhi, and he trains under Sanjay Bhardwaj, Gautam Gambhir's former coach.

On Tuesday, he became the second fastest Indian batter to score a hundred in the IPL after Yusuf Pathan's 37-ball century which came in 2010 for Rajasrhan Royals against Mumbai Indians. Chris Gayle holds the record for the fastest IPL ton in just 30 balls.
