EFL Cup: Newcastle Gain Control Of Semi-Final After 2-0 Victory Over Arsenal At Emirates
Newcastle United have taken control of the EFL Cup semi-final fixture against Arsenal as high-flying Alexander Isak inspired a 2-0 victory in the first-leg at the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal put pressure on the visiting Newcastle but failed to convert their chances from set-pieces. However, Isak and Anthony Gordon were on target and gave them an advantage and now have one foot in the final. The second-leg will be played on February 5.
