NBA 2024-25 Playoffs Round 1: Detroit Pistons Beat New York Knicks At Madison Square Garden
The New York Knicks missed a golden opportunity to close out this best-of-seven opening-round series in front of their fans at Madison Square Garden. Instead of gaining extra rest ahead of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the defending champion Celtics, Tom Thibodeau's team allowed the young, hungry, and gritty Pistons to revive their chances after a 106-103 loss. Brunson and Hart left the game with 2:57 remaining and the Knicks trailing by two points due to minor injuries.
