Phogat began the bout on a slow note with odds stacked against her, and also lost a couple of points and was trailing for the majority of the bout before pulling a rabbit out of the hat.
In a display of all emotions, a teary-eyed Vinesh basked in glory on the Parisian mat.
The 29-year-old found herself in a race against the clock but clinched a take down in the last 20 seconds in the thrilling clash.
Phogat will now face Ukraine라이브 바카라 Oksana Livach in the quarter-final clash. The Ukrainian clinched the 50kg bronze medal in the World Championships, six years ago in 2018, before going onto take the title in the 2019 European Championship.
