Having endured their third successive loss, Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins on Thursday said his hard hitting batters might need to alter their approach going into the next match.

Not a great night tonight. In the mid-innings break, we thought it was gettable. It was a pretty good wicket. Gave away few too many in the field and obviously fell short (with the bat)," Cummins said.

​During the second practice session, Alpine's rookie driver Jack Doohan suffered a high-speed crash at the barriers of Suzuka Circuit. On his fourth lap, Doohan lost control of his car at Turn 1, resulting in a heavy collision with the barriers at approximately 160 mph. This caused damage to the left side of his vehicle, with both left wheels detached. A red flag was followed. However, Doohan is okay as he communicated over the team radio.
