Horse-mounted police personnel and water canons have been used to clear major roadways in Israeli cities of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv as protests rage in the country after the Parliament passed the first bill in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's proposed judicial overhaul. In recent days, hundreds of thousand have held protests across Israel against the overhaul. Critics say the overhaul would pave way for authoritarianism.
