Launching a sharp attack over his recent "your blood will flow in Indus" remark, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Monday slammed Pakistan People's Party (PPP) chief Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari saying 'he has to think about who killed his mother.'
Commenting on the Pakistani politician's statement against India following its withdrawal from the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT), Owaisi remarked that Bhutto-Zardari should question who was responsible for his mother's death.
“See, he is new in politics. He has to think about who killed his mother. She died because of terrorism. If he can't understand that, then how can we make him? The one whose mother was killed by homegrown terrorism, he has to understand,” Owaisi said.
Former Pakistan PM Benazir Bhutto was assassinated on December 27, 2007, in Rawalpindi, Pakistan.
Earlier also, Owaisi lambasted Pakistan saying that it 'acted like ISIS'. Addressing a public meeting at Prabhani in Maharashtra, Owaisi said, "Pakistan always talks about being a nuclear power; they need to remember if they enter a country and kill innocent people, that country will not sit quietly. No matter the government, by killing our people on our land, and targeting them based on religion, what 'deen' are you talking about?... You have acted like the ISIS. I want to tell the Prime Minister that if Kashmir is our integral part, then Kashmiris are also our integral part... We cannot doubt the Kashmiris."
'Either Our Water Or Their Blood...': Bilawal Bhutto
As India resorted to suspension of the Indus Water Treaty as a retaliatory measure following Pahalgam attack, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chief Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari recently said the country was the true custodian of the Indus civilisation and warned India that "either our water or their blood will flow through it".
Addressing a public rally on Friday, Bhutto, who has also served as Pakistan's foreign minister, said, "We will not allow anyone to bargain over the Indus. To hide its weaknesses and fool the people, the Modi government is unilaterally suspending the Indus Water Treaty by making false allegations against Pakistan, but I want to stand by the Indus River in Sukkur and give a clear message to India that the Indus River is ours and will remain ours, either our water will flow from this Indus or your blood!"
"He (Modi) says they are heirs to a civilisation thousands of years old, but that civilisation lies in Mohenjo Daro, in Larkana. We are its true custodians, and we will defend it," Bhutto said while adding "India is unlawfully abrogating the treaty under which it had acknowledged that the Indus belongs to Pakistan", as per media reports.
