Biratnagar Kings did not have the best of times during their batting and they were bundled out for just 117 in 19.5 overs. Gerhard Erasmus picked up three wickets for Kathmandu Gurkhas while Dipesh Kandel also chipped in with two wickets.
Despite a small target of 118, a horror start made things bad for Kathmandu Gurkhas. They lost half of their side within the powerplay.
However, Gurkhas batters kept chipping in with small contributions. On the other hand, Biratnagar Kings led by Sandeep Lamichhane's three wickets were constantly picking up wickets.
Gurkhas lost their ninth wicket on 102 in the 17th over. Still 16 runs away from target, Kathmandu needed some big hits and Dipesh Kandel provided them with that. Kandel scored 11 runs from 5 balls to take Kathmandu Gurkhas home with just a solitary wicket and 11 balls in hand.
Kandel was also adjudged the Player Of The Match.
