Avishka Fernando scored 56, but only three other batters hit double figures for the tourists.
"It was windy, and it was going to be hard for us, but that's not the reason [we lost]," said Sri Lanka skipper Charith Asalanka.
"As professionals, we have to play in any kind of situation and any kind of conditions. Bad batting put us in this situation.
