Jamshedpur 2-1 Punjab FC Highlights, ISL 2024-25: Javier Siverio Brace Fetches JFC Fifth Home Win

The Indian Super League match will kick off at 7:30pm IST, and can be live streamed on the Jio Cinema app and website in India. It will be live telecast on the Sports18 network in India.

This is the first fixture between the two teams in the current ISL season. In their two matches in the last campaign, which was Punjab라이브 바카라 first in the league, Jamshedpur FC won once, whereas the other game resulted in a draw.

Shubham Sarangi will start tonight's game for Jamshedpur, and that's the only change from JFC's previous clash against Mohammedan Sporting. Here's the line-up, led by Javi Hernandez:

The early exchanges have produced a string of chances for both sides. Attempt saved. First, Punjab skipper Luka Majcen is assisted by Nikhil Prabhu and his right-footed shot from the right side of the box is close, but misses to the left. Then, in the 13th minute, Javi Siverio's header from the centre of the box is saved in the bottom right corner. He was assisted by Jamshedpur teammate Rei Tachikawa.

Another round of near misses. This time JFC midfielder Rei Tachikawa lines up an assist for Shubham Sarangi, whose long-range left-footed shot is too high. And five minutes later, Punjab's defensive midfielder Nikhil Prabhu gets an assist from Tekcham Singh, and Prabhu's shot from more than 35 yards misses to the right.

It is now Rei Tachikawa's turn to miss one himself. The Japanese midfielder is assisted by Javi Siverio with a headed pass, and his right-footed shot from outside the box is high and wide to the right. Still goalless at the JRD Tata Sports Complex.

And we have a goal in the dying moments of the first half. An elementary error from Punjab keeper Muheet Khan hands Jamshedpur a throw-in from a dangerous position in the final minute of added time. JFC captain Javi Hernandez heads the throw in towards Javi Siverio, and the Spanish striker makes no mistake to send the hosts ahead at half time.

Well, well. We have goals within seconds of either sides of the interval. And it is Punjab's turn to roar and equalize. Luka Majcen runs purposefully to the left of goal and crosses the ball in to the box just before going out, and Ezequiel Vidal's left-footed shot trickles into the bottom right corner to announce PFC's comeback. Game on!

Jamshedpur's Shubham Sarangi is shown the yellow card for a bad foul. Meanwhile, a couple of substitutions for Punjab. Mushaga Bakenga replaces skipper Luka Majcen and Ninthoinganba Meetei replaces Nihal Sudheesh.

Siverio breaks the deadlock! Substitute Nikhil Barla floats in a delightful ball into the box, and the Spanish striker surges ahead to head the ball into the Punjab net. The hosts are ahead again, and the minutes are now ticking down.

And that's full time. The Siverio brace is enough to hand Jamshedpur their fifth home win in six games this season. The Red Miners' dominance at the JRD Tata Sports Complex continues.

The victory lifts Jamshedpur to the sixth spot in the ISL 2024-25 points table with 18 points from 10 games, while Punjab have slumped to the fifth place with the same number of points as the Red Miners, but a better goal difference.

Jamshedpur will next head to Kolkata, where they will take on East Bengal at the Salt Lake Stadium on December 21. But before that, Punjab will meet the same side at the same venue on December 17.
