Joel Embiid Shines In Return, Leads 76ers To 118-116 Win Over Mavericks

Joel Embiid returned from a month-long injury absence to lead the Philadelphia 76ers to a 118-116 win over the Dallas Mavericks. Embiid recorded his first triple-double of the season with 29 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists despite wearing a knee brace after missing 15 games due to a left knee injury. His layup with 22 seconds left gave the Sixers a one-point lead, and he sealed the game by grabbing a rebound and defending Dallas' final play. Tyrese Maxey also contributed with 33 points and 13 assists. The Mavericks, playing without newly acquired Anthony Davis due to injury, fell to 0-2 since trading Luka Dončić to the Los Angeles Lakers. Kyrie Irving led Dallas with 34 points.
