Trinamool Congress and Samajwadi Party SP have lent their support to AAP for the upcoming Delhi elections. However, the two parties don't have significant influence in the national capital.
Tensions continue to rise within the INDIA bloc ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections, which is scheduled to be held on February 5. Several important coalition partners of the Opposition라이브 바카라 coalition have publicly backed the incumbent Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) over the Congress.
This shockwave comes after Congress leader Ajay Maken called former chief minister and AAP라이브 바카라 convener Arvind Kejriwal “anti-national”. AAP had earlier warned that it might seek support from other allies to “drop” the Congress from its unofficial leadership role in the alliance.
The Trinamool Congress (TMC) and the Samajwadi Party (SP) have lent support to the Kejriwal라이브 바카라 party. However, the two parties do not have significant influence in the national capital. TMC chief Mamata Banerjee and SP라이브 바카라 Akhilesh Yadav have both extended their solidarity with the AAP. It further strained relations with the Congress that is already reeling from defeats in Haryana and Maharashtra.
Expressing his gratitude, Kejriwal said, “TMC has announced support to AAP in Delhi elections. I am personally grateful to Mamta Didi. Thank you, Didi. You have always supported and blessed us in our good and bad times.”
TMC Rajya Sabha floor leader Derek O’Brien, in response, reassured, “We have your back, Aam Aadmi Party.”
However, senior leaders, including Congress' Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, criticised the TMC for its support to AAP. He warned that Delhi라이브 바카라 Bengali community would not tolerate Mamata라이브 바카라 “autocratic” tendencies. The Congress, despite this, remains in a difficult position — torn between its national alliance and growing discontent from its Delhi unit that is staunchly opposed to AAP라이브 바카라 rise.
Earlier, the AAP chief also extended his thanks to SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav, saying - “Thank you very much Akhilesh ji. You always support and accompany us. For this I and the people of Delhi are grateful.”
Kejriwal, in a blistering attack, accused the Congress of aligning itself with the BJP. He referred to Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot라이브 바카라 comments labelling the incumbent part as an “opponent” in Delhi. “Thank you, Ashok Gehlot, for publicly confirming what everyone already knew — Congress and BJP are in cahoots against AAP,” Kejriwal wrote on X.
This is not the first time Kejriwal has targeted the Congress. Just last week, he criticised the party after a group of women from Punjab staged a protest outside his residence, demanding the fulfilment of his commitment to provide a monthly allowance to women — a promise the AAP had made during the Punjab Assembly elections.
Meanwhile, the internal factionalism of the Congress party is becoming increasingly apparent. Delhi Congress leaders continue to strongly oppose AAP but the party라이브 바카라 central leadership has adopted a more cautious approach and appears to be mindful of the broader national political landscape.
The alliance라이브 바카라 tension over Delhi라이브 바카라 political future is set to play a crucial role in the February elections because all eyes turn to the capital where the AAP has dominated for the past decade.
With just a month to go before the polls, the city is bracing for a fierce contest between AAP, BJP, and the Congress. Key battles are unfolding in constituencies across the capital, and the stakes remain high as each party is keen to claim victory.
Confident after multiple successful elections, AAP is looking to maintain its hold on power with a third term. The ruling party us projecting itself as the party of development and progress. Kejriwal has once again made several promises, including free healthcare for those who are over 60 years of age and a monthly stipend for women whose families earn less than Rs 3 lakh.
However, the BJP is not backing down. The party is focusing on allegations of corruption against the AAP, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the forefront of these attacks. Modi has targeted Kejriwal over the construction of his official residence and dubbed it a “Sheesh Mahal” amid the struggles of Delhi라이브 바카라 residents during the pandemic.
The BJP is also ramping up its outreach with infrastructure projects such as flats for JJ cluster dwellers and Delhi-Meerut RRTS. The party is aiming to solidify its appeal to working-class voters.
On the other hand, the Congress, after years of decline, is attempting to regain its base. The grand old party, which once used to be the dominant force in the national capital, now stands at a "distant" third position in terms of vote share. However, it believes there is still room for a challenge, hence, it is focusing on anti-incumbency sentiment against both AAP and BJP.
The Congress has even promised a monthly Rs 2,500 payout to women under its “Pyari Didi” scheme with a hope to reassert its position as a champion of the working class.
Key constituencies such as Jangpura, Kalkaji and New Delhi are seeing fierce contests between top leaders from these three parties. Kejriwal faces Parvesh Verma of the BJP and Sandeep Dikshit of the Congress in New Delhi. Chief Minister Atishi is locked in a fierce battle with BJP라이브 바카라 Ramesh Bidhuri and Congress’ Alka Lamba in Kalkaji.
