In the latest development in the Meerut murder case, family members of Saurabh Rajput, who was allegedly murdered by his wife Muskan Rastogi and her lover Sahil Shukla, have claimed that black magic was performed.
Saurabh Rajput was allegedly drugged, stabbed to death by his wife and her lover on March 4, chopped up and stuffed in a cement drum.
In the latest development in the Meerut murder case, family members of Saurabh Rajput, who was allegedly murdered by his wife Muskan Rastogi and her lover Sahil Shukla, have claimed that black magic was performed.
However, the police have not commented on the claims, Rajput's mother Renu Devi said, "Both Muskaan and Sahil were into occult practices. They killed my son by performing tantric rituals," reported PTI.
The deceased, Saurabh Rajput (29) was a former Merchant Navy officer who worked as a baker in London, returned to his Meerut home on February 24 for his wife's birthday but just over a week later, his wife Muskan Rastogi (27) and her lover Sahil Shukla (25) allegedly killed him.
The two then went on a holiday to Himachal Pradesh and kept misleading Rajput's family by sending messages from their phones. The matter was reported to police on March 18, following which Muskan and Sahil were arrested.
A source in the police said, as quoted PTI, "Muskan has made it clear in her statements that Sahil had said that 'you will have to kill Saurabh, only then we can start a new life'."
"Sahil got Muskan to kill her husband. First, he made her sit on Saurabh's chest. Then he brought a knife from the kitchen, showed her how to wield it and directed her to insert the knife in Saurabh's heart thrice. When Muskan could not bring herself to use the knife, Sahil held her hand and made her stab an unconscious Saurabh in the heart thrice," the source added.
Asked about the claims about the different involvement of occult practices in the case, Superintendent of Police (City) Ayush Vikram Singh replied, "All aspects of the case are being looked into."
According to a report by PTI, Rajput's in-laws, Kavita and Pramod Rastogi, alleged that Sahil had kept their daughter Muskaan "captive" by making her believe in tantric rituals. They claimed that he had also kept Muskaan away from her six-year-old daughter.
"Sahil's occult practices dominated Muskaan's mind in such a way that she started keeping her six-year-old daughter away. Sahil had made Muskaan an addict and completely superstitious," the deceased's mother said, as quoted by PTI.
"Many other scary images have also been found in Sahil's room. He used to go out only to feed cats and the lights in his room remained switched off most of the time," a neighbour said.
According to the news report, the murderous wife first stabbed Saurabh three times on his heart and brutally inserted the knife into his heart.
As per the post-mortem report, after tearing out the heart, Saurabh's head was cut off and his body was cut into small pieces and fitted into a drum. Even the doctors who conducted the postmortem were terrified, reports suggest.
