Nicholas Pooran and Mitchell Marsh weren’t just crucial to Lucknow Super Giants' (LSG) nail-biting win over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens — they also roared back to the top of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 leaderboards, lighting up the Orange Cap race with explosive knocks. Over in the Purple Cap tally, Chennai Super Kings’ Noor Ahmad continued to spin his way ahead of the pack despite his team enduring a fourth consecutive defeat against Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Tuesday night.

Orange Cap: Pooran, Marsh rule the charts

Pooran has looked like a man on a mission this season, and his unbeaten 87 off 36 balls against KKR was a stunning display of clean hitting and calculated aggression. That innings kept him comfortably on top of the Orange Cap list, with 288 runs from five matches, including three half-centuries.

His LSG teammate Mitchell Marsh wasn’t far behind in the same game. Marsh라이브 바카라 81 off 48 balls set the tone for the innings and brought him right back into the top two, pushing out Gujarat Titans’ B Sai Sudharsan. Marsh now has 265 runs from five innings, including four fifties.

Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians’ Suryakumar Yadav quietly climbed to third on the list. With scores of 29, 48, 27, 67 and 28, the MI batter is now just a run away from the 200-mark.

Purple Cap: Noor stays ahead, Khaleel joins the chase

The other big name to keep hold of a cap after Tuesday was Noor Ahmad. The CSK wrist spinner took 1 for 32 against Punjab Kings in a match that didn’t go his team라이브 바카라 way, but those wickets are adding up. With 11 wickets from five matches, Noor continues to top the Purple Cap table.

Hardik Pandya, who was level with Noor at the start of the day, has now slipped to second despite not playing — purely on match count. Hardik has 10 wickets in four games, and that better strike rate could still see him retake the lead if he keeps his form going.

Joining the two at the top is Khaleel Ahmed, also on 10 wickets — but from five matches. Khaleel had another strong outing, picking up 2 for 45, including the early wickets of Shreyas Iyer and Marcus Stoinis. He's quietly turned into one of CSK's most dependable powerplay bowlers, picking at least two wickets in four of the five games so far.

Just behind this trio is a chasing pack of experienced names — Mitchell Starc, Mohammed Siraj, and Shardul Thakur — all tied at nine wickets each.
