Despite the one-sidedness of the match, it also saw one of the rarest sights in professional cricket – the debut and wicket-taking prowess of ambidextrous bowler Kamindu Mendis.

The Sri Lankan all-rounder made his IPL 2025 bow for SunRisers on Thursday in the 13th over. He started the over bowling right-arm off-break but then switched to left-handed bowling. His change in bowling hand confused Angkrish Raghuvanshi, who was batting at 50.

The batter hit the fourth ball of the over down the covers, but his drive lacked power, and the ball was grasped by Harshal Patel at deep point. In this process, Mendis became the first ambidextrous bowler in IPL history to take a wicket.

Mendis opted to bowl left-handed against right-handed Raghuvanshi, switching to right-hand off-spin against left-handers Rinku Singh and Venkatesh Iyer. The debutant conceded just four runs from his one and only over, and Pat Cummins decided against giving him another over.

Kamindu Mendis Heroics Fails To Stop Demolition

Despite Kamindu Mendis stealing the spotlight temporarily with his bowling, Thursday라이브 바카라 match was all Knight Riders. The home side was utterly dominant in both innings. Led by half-centuries from Raghuvanshi and Iyer (60 off 29), as well as a 17-ball 32-run innings from Rinku Singh, KKR posted a total of 200.

During the chase, Kolkata bowlers Vaibhav Arora and Varun Chakravarthy went after the SRH batters, taking six wickets among them in eight overs. Only Heinrich Klaasen (33 off 21) made any notable contribution with the bat, and all 10 SRH batters were sent back to the pavilion for 120 runs, leading to a record 80-run loss.
