West Indies 'Monitoring' Players' Safety In IPL, PSL Amid India–Pakistan Tensions

Cricket West Indies (CWI) stated in an official release that it is closely monitoring the escalating situation between India and Pakistan following recent military actions in the region

Amid increasing tensions between India and Pakistan, Cricket West Indies (CWI) is closely monitoring the situation to ensure the safety of players in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) and Pakistan Super League (PSL).

CWI shared in a release, "We are in active communication with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), and our players currently involved in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and Pakistan Super League (PSL)."

In a mission dubbed 'Operation Sindoor', Indian forces struck nine spots in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir dismantling terror infrastructure in these places.

The success of the operation was celebrated throughout the country and the cricket ground too witnessed the same enthusiasm. During the KKR vs CSK match, ‘Proud of our armed forces’ was displayed time and again on the big screen and the sight screen.

After Operation Sindoor, tensions between India and Pakistan further escalated. In the latest development, the Indian government announced that it had successfully neutralised Pakistani attack drones and destroyed an air defence system in Lahore.

Cricket West Indies also stated, "We have engaged our strategic partner, the West Indies Players’ Association (WIPA), to coordinate and ensure the safety, security, and well-being of all West Indies players and support personnel in the region. The welfare of our people remains our highest priority."

CWI라이브 바카라 statement comes as the situation continues to unfold, with growing concerns for players’ safety amid ongoing military actions in the region.

List Of West Indies Players Competing In IPL And PSL 2025

A total of eight West Indies players are participating in the 2025 IPL: Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, and Rovman Powell (Kolkata Knight Riders), Nicholas Pooran and Shamar Joseph (Lucknow Super Giants), Shimron Hetmyer (Rajasthan Royals), Romario Shepherd (Royal Challengers Bangalore), and Sherfane Rutherford (Gujarat Titans).

In the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL), five West Indies players are competing: Jason Holder (Islamabad United), Gudakesh Motie and Shai Hope (Multan Sultans), Alzarri Joseph (Peshawar Zalmi), and Akeal Hosein (Quetta Gladiators).

The Match 58 of the IPL 2025 between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals was halted after a malfunction in one of the floodlights at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala. The match was later called off due to a power outage in the area during the ongoing drone strikes between India and Pakistan.
